Solar does have a cost. However, federal, state and local incentives help to cover most of the cost. In turn, you pay a lower monthly vs your current utility bill.

WHY IS SOLAR SUBSIDIZED?

Solar is a very reliable energy source. The federal government gives a one-time tax credit to the home owner.

All energy types in the US are subsidized to keep energy cost down. Most go to the utility or fuel source, which the home owner never sees.
